Bruce Magown, CEO InterWeave SmartSolutions Inc. listed among “The 10 Most Innovative Leaders Reforming Business in 2023 – Insights Success”
As CEO, President, Board Member and Investor in Integration Technologies, Inc., and the creator of InterWeave SmartSolutions, Bruce Magown brings customer-focused CRM Integration Solutions in response to customers’ needs into the digital age.
Magown has served as the Chief Executive Officer, President, Board Member, and Investor in SecurDigital, Inc., the company that developed SecurVoice©; the voice, data and video encryption solution designed to pass FIPS 140-2 certification. In 2000, Magown served as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, head of the Audit Committee, Investor and Board member of the Uncommon Media Group, LLC.
He also served as President and Chief Operations Officer of Knoa Corp., a privately held company focusing on interactive and media-rich solutions. Magown particularly enjoyed his tenure at Netscape, where he served as the Vice President of Netscape, representing Canada, the United States East Coast, and Latin America. Prior to this, Magown was an AVP of Lehman Brothers and also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Information Engineering, Inc., an e-business solution provider.
In an interview with Insights Success, Magown shares valuable facts that highlight his professional tenure and his journey so far in the niche.
What significant impact have you brought to the industry?
The approach we took was unique in the SaaS integration world. We created a SaaS, Hosted Solution that is based on business process/workflow selection in configurable form at the object level. A good example is our Creatio_Sage Intacct Solution. We replicated the Sage Intacct transaction data in Creatio at the object level, then present this to the audience (typically sales administrator and controller) in configurable form while discussing Best Practice.
In a zoom meeting, we review the Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable selections the customer has made, then select from over 300 configurable options to conform to their specific business process and workflow. The solution is completely customized to the customer’s requirements, and being a SaaS Solution, additions, updates, and new selections are available with their yearly subscription.
Tell us about InterWeave SmartSolutions and its foundation pillar.
We laid the foundation stone of Integration Technologies that is InterWeave SmartSolutions today in the year 2000. InterWeave is a CRM Integration Software Product Suite that offers a rapidly deployable and infinitely scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) Integration Platform and Integration Server for integration of business-to-business, business-to-consumer connectivity, business processes optimization and application integration.
We focus on three integration tenants: Financial Services Solutions, Payment Processors, and Multi-Cloud integrations in a simple, configurable way. SaaS, SMB, and Enterprise Customers manage their customer interactions with system-specific business processes and workflow to provide an extraordinary customer experience. For the business CRM community, InterWeave has advanced their Solution options by focusing on automating business processes and workflow between entities in a simple configurable, intuitive and expansive way.
There are always challenges and choices to make as a technology provider, extending product functionality vs focusing on ROI. The lesson is to follow your own path. Focus on meeting the customers’ requirements and they will provide both functionality and focus for you.
We learned that if a company operates a client-focused approach to ensure that they are all treated to the highest possible standards of service and support, then your business will grow. The team is required to treat clients as they would like to be treated themselves, as InterWeave understands that its clients are the driving force behind the success of the company.
How does InterWeave SmartSolutions promote workforce flexibility, and what is your role in it?
Our people have the option of remote or onsite presence. We source our workforce worldwide, hence the option. Regarding flexibility, if you do what you like, then it’s not work. Passion is what drives our people, and we are a better company due to this.

What will be the next significant change in the Tech industry, and how are you preparing for it?
In a word, immersive. We just spent two years repositioning and rebranding of the company with the build of our five websites, and our twelve-to-twenty-four-month focus is to build out in an immersive technology environment. Our belief is that immersive will allow potential and existing customers to explore the technology on their terms; time zone, language, process, etc., and show our integrations in real-time.
What are your goals in the upcoming future?
With the repositioning and rebranding completed, the outbound marketing campaign with LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube is our focus. Having great technology doesn’t mean everyone knows about it. We have many exciting new developments that will be announced that will allow the firm even greater opportunities to grow and build upon our current success. Our vision is to focus on the customer’s needs and consistently provide innovative solutions to them.
What advice would you like to give the next generation of aspiring business leaders?
Listen and innovate. Our approach was to work with the best CRM Partners we could find, and then provide Configurable Integration Solutions, which allows the selection of best business practices, workflow and much more. Once this is accomplished, the real work begins: that is, listening to your customers. They know exactly what they want and will motivate you to provide it.
