Supporting Science

Kuhner fosters close contact with research and development departments in notable universities and companies. Here, where the future starts, Kuhner is supporting research and in return receives valuable input for technical innovations. Many of the new developments for Kuhner shakers come out of these collaborations with scientific partners.

Kuhner customers are also able to benefit from the resulting know-how. Alongside comprehensive customer support, Kuhner offers quality workshops either on site, or at our head office in Basel. These seminars address questions about cultivation conditions and offer suggestions for optimizing the operation of your shaken bioreactors (shake flasks, microtiter plates, tubespins, etc.).

Kuhner is also part of the “Shaking Technology Forum”, made up of several companies, each specialist in different areas of shaking technology. This Forum provides user support for those involved in research and development.

Our commitment to the environment.

At Kuhner, we are continually optimizing our production processes to reduce energy consumption and waste. In addition, we aim to use as many environmentally friendly materials for our products as possible. Last but not least, the Kuhner company itself contributes in many different ways to save energy and reduce waste.

For instance, the electricity for our buildings is produced by over 200 solar panels on the rooftop, saving more than 54 tons of CO2 per year!

Kuhner was running QuickBooks Desktop, v31.0, with Avatax deployed. New to Salesforce, they engaged with ebq of Austin, TX to provide Salesforce Consulting and Architecting Services. eqb created the Opportunities, Quotes and Inventory required to support Estimates, Sales Orders and more with heavy reliance on process approvals and triggers. InterWeave provided the seamless transfer of this data in real time.
